Highlights:

Chinese giant panda is rare species well-known all over the world. Their existence and future do not only attract national concern but also international people's desire to do something for this endangered species. The Panda Keeper Program provides people who are interested in animal conservation research an opportunity to learn more about giant pandas. The international internship is practice at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. During the experience, you will work with our skilled keepers and researchers to learn about giant pandas and biodiversity conservation, giant panda breeding, research, feeding management and behavior, and will also learn more about Chinese culture and customs.

Itinerary:

Working Schedule of the internship:

08:30-08:35 Check in,grouping,distribution of materials,preparation work,instruction of security tips and schedule for the day.

08:35-11:15 Perform panda keeper's duties at the enclosure.

11:30-13:30 Have lunch

13:30-14:35 Tour of the Panda Base, and learn more about giant pandas and biodiversity.

14:40-15:10 Watch documentary of pandas.

15:15-15:25 Visit panda museum.

15:25-15:30 Certificate issued.

15:30 Program ends

Clean bamboo

Service include:

1.Transportation to Panda base.

Feed panda

Service exclude:

1. Hotel in Chengdu.
2. Hugging a panda for pictures, $300/person(Optional)
